A selection of images from 2023:
I started the year in Beirut, Lebanon where small, ongoing demonstrations seemingly made no difference. In the spring, I covered the devastating twin earthquakes of magnitude 7.8 and 7.6 which killed over 50,000 in Turkey and Syria, and on a more light hearted note, I went to Akre in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to photography Nowruz, the Kurdish New Year. In May, I decided to make the move to Paris, France, where I began shooting daily news, demonstrations, politics, features and fashion. The summer was filled with weddings, a holiday to Tunisia, and a few days on the beach. Autumn brought another trip to Ukraine, the Rugby World Cup, more fashion shows, and large demonstrations in support of Palestine.
Thanks to Shutterstock Editorial, Der Spiegel and LA Times who commissioned me for many assignments this year, as well as NGO and corporate clients, and most importantly my partner, family and friends.
