Over two million people fled Ukraine in the two weeks following the Russian invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022. Many took the train to Poland first, with minimal luggage, pets and their warmest clothes, before continuing with onward travel. These images were created in Lviv, Ukraine, and on the Ukraine/Polish border crossings, in the first few days after the invasion, following the journeys of the recently displaced people.
